Counting On Update?
TLC has not released if there will be a new season of Counting On. In the past it's been about three months from one season to another.
TLC has reported that Derick Dillard will not be part of the show when it returns.

ReplyDeleteThe only reason why they aren't allowing him back on is because of what he said about Jazz Jennings....Counting on is based off of the girls and boys so they will not take jinger and Jill off
DeleteDerrick is no longer on because he publicly bullied another TLC celebrity and insulted her and her family and TLC for having the show about an issue his religion disagrees with. It was uncalled for, unprofessional, and if there was ever a case of someone biting the hand that feeds him, Derrick bashing TLC is certainly an obvious one. His religious beliefs are one thing. Using them to insult and bully someone else as if his way is the only right way is ignorant, obnoxious, and intolerant.

DeleteI see no where he mentioned the "bullied" Jazz. Jazz took it as he was being targeted. Jazz's parents enable him to change who God created him to be and there is nothing wrong with that. Did Derick have the right to tweet what he had? No but then again we all have the goodness of freedom of speech.

The show is not canceled from what we have been told. They are just on break or they would not have made the announcement about Derick.

DeleteJazz is clearly a boy. Does it make me an animal if I dress up as one? If I feel like dressing up as a baby should I demand everyone treat me like a baby? Call me precious little baby or else you are a hateful bully!
DeleteIt's ridiculous to see a boy like Jazz messed up so badly. Instead of getting help he is encouraged to play pretend like a little child. Everything in this world passes. The only thing that always remains is the truth. Everyone is a child of God and if you accept him and follow his teachings, his promise for you is eternal life with him forever. Open up your hearts to Christ. He is the only way, truth and light. Open up your hearts before it will be too late for you.
Why is Jazz being attacked here? This is about Derrick Dillard! Everyone is entitled to their opinions but we should be mindful of others as well. Never judge others until you have walked a mile in their shoes. If one has a problem using proper pronouns then refer by name.

No the slacks and nose piercing are not a big deal, But Derrick's blantant rude remarks against another TLC will keep him off. That is something he should have just kept between him and his family. Not on social media.
ReplyDeleteDerick's comment was in gender of transgender shows not directed at Jazz. TLC did not need to pull him off because they already said that their views did not match Derick's.
DeleteI mean don't get me wrong, I agree everyone has the right to have their own opinion and views, but when you are on a show you should know that some of those views and opinions should be kept more to yourself. Derrick should have known better. I respect he has that right, but he rightly should not have said such on social media about another show on the same network. But Jill's piercing, and Jingers slacks are not anything crazy or bad, so they will be fine. The show should not be canceled. I watch it religiously when it's on.

DeleteWhat did Derick say exactly that was so hateful? He just said what the majority of us are thinking; Dear Jazz and others alike, Do you know what hate really means? I assure you Derick, his family and many others wish you nothing but the best! I wish his parents taught Jazz it is what is on the inside that counts the most at the end of life. God loves him and everyone despite our shortcomings. No need to live a Transgender life, focus on God and you will be living the life God created you to.

ReplyDeleteI agree Jesus is coming and will send all the wicked of this world to hell forever. Christians and other free thinkers are being brutally murdered all over the world more than ever before! We know the bible says this will come to pass and much worse. Do not fear! Jesus is near and your reward for staying faithful to His teachings will be eternal life with him.

DeleteThis is horrible. Derrick should be allowed to speak his mind on what his faith and beliefs are, same for Jazz and her family. TLC is playing favorites. This is television, media and we do have freedom of religon and speech. I thought that TLC stood for The Learning Channel. Please dont cancel one show for fa Emily values or another for the same.
ReplyDeleteDonna, I do not agree with your or DD's POV, thinking that God is so small that he/she (yes, she) lives in such tiny heads with tiny lives: Furthermore, saying that "God said so" whilst you CHERRY PICK verses from the Bible, is not becoming of a Christian. (1) Jesus NEVER said ANYTHING about outright exclusion based on an arbitrary fact. Quite the opposite! (2) Educate yourself just a TINY LITTLE bit and find out the difference between SEX & GENDER.

Keep them on! It is about the only show you can sit down and watch without vulgarity and profanity.

ReplyDeleteJust another family on television who says one things and their actions are telling something else. They are trying to push their values on other people and do things only for ratings, like big weddings with over 1,000 people only to get a lot of gifts? Who has that many close friends and family? No one I know. Just another over rated show that TLC has on. The good shows they only show about 5 shows then you don't see them again, "The Little Couple" is the only one I watch. So far glad to see that "Kate Plus 8" isn't on. She is abusive in the way she talks to her kids, got free surgery to have a flat stomach after the babies was born and that was due to the show. She only thinks about herself, she didn't even pay for the house they are living in. TLC needs to change their programs. They are not fit for family viewing and I have written them telling them the way I feel and believe. This is what wrong with our country the programs that are allowed to be air on television. I keep my television off except to get the weather and news.
ReplyDeleteThey have been trying to share their beliefs which is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing saying that you have to change to please them. You can live your own life with your own beliefs and people will still love you.
